Broadcaster/self-referring
I was on Twitter in the first months. The time around year 3 or 4 is what most newer platforms would like to be, with a few feature variations. It was a time when people with common interests assembled. It was a way for friends to chat. We talked about wine, music, food. An exciting, amazing era, actually.
Today, I am a self-referring broadcaster on the current sewer that is Twitter, two accounts that just post links to my music. Others in this category on all platforms post mostly links to their SubStack (which I will never click on, by the way), podcast, or other blog or content.

Value-added
There are a few people who post almost nothing but information that is helpful, interesting, and contain value. These are the gold accounts. The bots will monitor weather events and other things. Individuals will post mini-reviews of products and services. They may have a link to read more, but the essential is in the post. This is very thoughtful to others in saving wasted time.

News/info
Posting items that are not getting wide attention, are not about political horse races, but more about scientific developments, or about companies other than Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, OpenAI, etc

Complainers and moaners
There’s nothing wrong with doing this, unless every single post is woe is me. It only shows one side of their humanity and surely every live person has many sides. Venting may help, but it also may just reinforce the woes.

Signal boosters
90% reposts, which is great for seeing posts about things that are not widely-known or seen if they are judicious. A repost about Taylor Swift isn’t in this category.

What other network poster categories are there? Which are you?
