Thanks for your comment. I don't disagree with you, Richard, but some people, including me, want to reach a lot of people regardless of the money involved. The article was really meant to teach artists how to do better on the largest potential audience of all the services, which is Spotify. Bandcamp is great, but exposure to it depends mostly on you sending people there from social networks or mailings. The other services that pay significantly more, like Tidal, have a fraction of Spotify's audience. Name recoginition is important to me, more than money. It's why I use my real name. If I knew how to reach those who buy music, I'd tell them where to buy mine. Another factor is that Bandcamp don't allow covers. In order to sell covers (not stream them), you have to get a license and that costs money.
