My first paid gig was in 1966, 59 years ago. My first attempts at composition happened in 1972, yes, over a half-century ago. That was also the year I joined BMI and was in a band called the Pure Food & Drug Act. We toured the US and Canada and recorded a live album in Seattle. Two years later, I joined John Mayall's Bluesbreakers for an album and two tours, one in Europe and one in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
I still write and perform music from spacey meditation stuff I might call "Old Age" to modern jazz, from blues and funk to pseudo-classical, from latin influences to African and Middle Eastern.
